DECEMBER 2024
This past weekend, we officially made our first trip back to Pittsburgh, PA since Theodore passed away in April, 2020.Β Along with providing a catered lunch for the Ronald McDonald House Facility, attached to UPMC Childrenβs Hospital, our intention was to βfill the (coffee) cupsβ of as many parents as possibleβ¦ However, it was definitely our own cup that was overflowing by the time we hit the road back to Buffalo.Β
Thank you Ronald McDonald House Charities and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for allowing us to honor our firstborn son, Theodore, by βπ¨πͺπ·πͺπ―π¨ π’ ππͺπ΅π΅ππ¦ π£πͺπ΅ π°π§ π°πΆπ³ ππͺπ§π¦ π΅π° πΊπ°πΆβ.Β Also, a huge shout out of appreciation goes to everyone who generously donated to this cause, and both sets of our amazing parents, for taking care of our children back home. This certainly wonβt be the last time Pittsburgh sees The Nelson Fam. Weβre continuing to send so much love to every single parent fighting alongside their courageous child in the hospital this holiday season…Β ππ«ΆπΌ

What a wonderful way to celebrate the life of Theodore, and to uplift the families dealing with illness. Well done! ππ

My wife and I were some of the many people blessed with a generous meal and thoughtful gift bag personally served to us at the Ronald McDonald house December 2025. You and your daughters’ warm greetings and conversation brightened our day.
It’s a humbling and heartwarming blessing to know that the Lord provides people like you to be willing and present in the storms of this life. Theodoreβs light continues to shine through you.
Many thanks,
David Brenneman
